About Hendrik and Estella

Hendrik and Estella are an Australian couple who have somehow managed to stick together for decades—proof that a shared love (and perhaps a sense of humour) can go a long way.

Back in 2017–2018, with their kids all grown up and out in the world, Estella dusted off her paintbrushes and dove back into her art. Not wanting to be left out, Hendrik figured he’d give writing a shot. It started as a bit of fun, but, well… it turns out fun is addictive.

Their first book never made it to print (it lives a quiet life in the maybe one day pile), but their second—and most loved—Little Bear Meets the Voice in the Cave was released, marking the real start of their creative adventure. Since moving from Sydney to country NSW, creating has become less of a hobby and more of a way of life.
